The short version
- No account, sign-in or login is needed to use BasketTrack.
- Information you enter is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
- The app has no internet permission, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.
- You can delete all of your data at any time from Profile > Reset Local Data.
1.Who we are
BasketTrack is published on Google Play by Trouw Nutrition Nederland B.V., Nijverheidsweg 2, 3881 LA Putten, the Netherlands (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the BasketTrack Android app (“the app”) handles information.
Because the app stores information only on your device and never transmits it to us, we do not receive, see or hold your personal data. Where data protection law applies to processing that takes place in the app, Trouw Nutrition Nederland B.V. is responsible for the way the app is designed to handle it.
2.Information the app handles
You can browse all games, training sessions and tournaments without providing any information. The app only handles information that you choose to enter:
| Category | Details | When |
|---|---|---|
| Registration details | Full name, email address, phone number, skill level, preferred position and an optional comment | When you join a game, training session or tournament and give consent on the registration form |
| Player profile | Display name, preferred position, skill level and favorite game format | When you edit your profile (some fields are pre-filled from your first registration) |
| Game challenges and results | The goals you choose (for example “Score 10 points”), the results you enter after a game, and statistics calculated from them | When you set a challenge or complete a game |
| App preferences | Notification preference settings | When you change them in your profile |
The app does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health data, precise location, contacts, photos, or financial information). Please don’t enter sensitive information in the optional comment field.
3.How the information is used
The information is used only inside the app, for these purposes:
- to show that you are registered for an activity and to update the player list and available spots;
- to pre-fill future registration forms so you don’t have to type your details again;
- to save your game challenges, calculate your results (actual ÷ target × 100) and show your statistics and history;
- to remember your profile and preference settings.
Registration details are processed on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking “I agree to the processing of my information for basketball activity registration.” on the registration form. You can withdraw consent at any time by cancelling your spot or deleting your data (see section 7).
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.
4.Where it is stored
All information is stored locally in the app’s private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers (the app has no server) and it is excluded from Android cloud backup, so it stays on the device where you entered it.
6.Device permissions
BasketTrack does not request access to the internet, your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. It does not read other apps’ data.
7.Retention and deletion
Your information stays on your device until you delete it. You can:
- cancel a registration from the game’s details screen, which also removes any open challenge for that game;
- remove an individual challenge from the challenge screen;
- delete everything (profile, registrations, challenges, results and statistics) with Profile > Reset Local Data;
- uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android Settings, which removes all app data from the device.
Because we never receive your data, we cannot recover it after deletion, and deletion does not require contacting us.
8.Security
App data is kept in storage that Android makes private to BasketTrack, so other apps cannot access it. Because no data is transmitted, it cannot be intercepted in transit. We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock, since anyone who can unlock your device can open the app.
9.Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. In BasketTrack you can exercise these rights directly in the app: all of your data is visible and editable in the app, and you can delete it at any time as described above.
If you have questions, please contact us (see section 12). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
10.Children
BasketTrack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the app does not transmit data, any information entered stays on the device and can be deleted with Reset Local Data. Parents or guardians with questions can contact us.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if the app’s features change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. If a change significantly affects how your information is handled, we will also show it in the app.
